Leroy Merlin E-Commerce platform

A program to build the eCommerce Platform for Leroy Merlin Greece. The web-based eCommerce platform hosted the sum of the products of Leroy Merlin and integrated with the common, centrally exposed APIs of the Leroy Merlin group.

My role as a Program Leader was to drive the project team, which consisted of a Project manager, 2 software engineers and a UI/UX designer.

I was the main touchpoint with the client and all the involved business owners.

 

The roadmap was 1 ½ years long, as apart from the complex front-end implementation and user experience, due to the large volume of products, Greece was the first country to integrate with the centralized APIs. This caused a lot of back and forth with the group team causing delays.

In order to mitigate the issues, after the first 2 months I established a system integration process for the upcoming projects and flows in the roadmap, in parallel with the main project line, so as to identify issues early enough, take action and maintain the roadmap intact.
